Bromeliad Living Arrangements Workshop
Bold color, sculptural form, and surprisingly easy care make bromeliads some of the most rewarding plants you can grow. These striking tropical plants thrive in Southern California gardens, adding vibrant rosettes and dramatic texture to patios, containers, and landscapes.
In this hands-on workshop, you’ll create a living arrangement using several semi-hardy bromeliad varieties planted in a terra cotta bulb pan. Along the way, you’ll learn exactly how to keep bromeliads healthy and thriving, with clear guidance on light, airflow, watering, fertilizing, propagation, and the plant life cycle.
The class is led by Dylan, our in-house tropical plant specialist. He has traveled extensively throughout the tropics, studying and photographing hundreds of bromeliad species, and has grown many of them himself. Dylan brings practical, real-world knowledge to help you grow bromeliads with confidence at home.
