The Great Rescue of 1925: Centennial Commemoration

Join us as we commemorate the 100th anniversary of one of the most heroic moments in Southern California's coastal history. On June 14, 1925, a sudden squall capsized a fishing vessel off the coast of Corona del Mar. In a display of incredible courage, Duke Kahanamoku—alongside a crew of legendary surfers—braved the turbulent surf to rescue 12 fishermen from certain tragedy.

This special evening will include:
🌮 A taco dinner from The Taco Guy (available for purchase)
🍹 A no-host bar
🎶 Live music by Kerry and the Surftones
🎤 A keynote conversation with Paul Burnet, author and co-owner of Surfside Sports, sharing stories of the rescue, its impact, and the spirit of aloha that lives on today.

Come honor the legacy of bravery, community, and ocean stewardship. Bring your friends, your love of the sea, and your dancing sandals!
