Spend Earth Day Behind the Scenes at Roger’s Gardens with Ron Vanderhoff

Much like Sherman Library & Gardens, Roger’s Gardens is a cherished Corona del Mar institution. Go behind the scenes with Roger’s Vice President of Horticulture, Ron Vanderhoff, on a leisurely, informative, and entertaining one-hour walking tour. Along the way, Ron will share early stories, memorable milestones, and firsthand insights into what has made Roger’s Gardens the busiest garden center in the Western United States, known for inspirational merchandising, horticultural exclusives, extraordinary seasonal displays, and a welcoming, knowledgeable team. This tour will include the nursery collections, go behind the scenes to the original design department, and peruse the boutiques. A special 20% discount on purchases made on the day of the tour.

Your visit takes place on Earth Day, making it an especially meaningful time to explore the role gardens and green spaces play in supporting a healthy community and environment. Enjoy a closer look at the beauty, history, and purpose that continue to shape Roger’s Gardens today.

Lunch is not included in the member excursion, but if you choose to enjoy lunch at the Farmhouse Restaurant at Roger’s Gardens, it is advised to make reervations early.

Transportation

Members are responsible for their own transportation to and from Roger’s Gardens. Please park in either of the free parking lots at Roger’s and meet at the front registers.

This is a one-hour walking tour that will traverse uneven surfaces and go behind the scenes beyond public spaces.
