Member Excursion - UCI Special Collections & Archives Experience

Spend an afternoon poring over the archival treasures at UC Irvine Libraries Special Collections & Archives. This tour will start by viewing an undergraduate student exhibit on the Upper Newport Bay, followed by an engaging display of botanical rare books from the Emma D. Menninger Collection on Horticulture and selections from the university’s holdings in artists' books and regional manuscripts.  This experience will be a treat for lovers of history, rare books, and archival records. We can’t wait to see you there! 
 
Transportation 
Members are responsible for their own transportation to and from UC Irvine. Specific parking and meet-up instructions will be sent to participants in advance of the excursion. 
 
Accessibility 
This is a 1-hour tour that will traverse stairs. Some parts of this tour will have standing room only for viewing the collections. Please notify our team when you book your reservation if you require accommodations for accessibility and we will be glad to do our best to assist
