Junior Gardeners Summer Camp

Start your child on a gardening adventure! During this practical camp for 7-11-year-olds, kids learn to care for plants and understand how the choices they make affect the natural world. Topics include carnivorous plants, growing food, worm composting, and creating a wildlife-friendly garden. Our Junior Gardeners go behind the scenes, meet our Sherman Horticulturists and find out how we create our beautiful garden. This STEAM based camp will develop skills of observation, design, and scientific exploration. Each session involves activities in the garden and a fun planting or creative craft project to take home. Expect to get your hands dirty!

Age Guidelines:

Junior Gardeners Summer Camp is for children ages 7 – 11 years old

Camp Dates:

Week 1: Monday, June 26 – Thursday, June 29

Week 2: Monday, July 10 – Thursday, July 13

*Both weeks include the same activities.

Camp Times:

9 am – 12 pm

Fee:

Member: $180 per week

Non-Member: $200 per week

REFUNDS: Due to limited space, refunds will not be given. Participants may sign up for one or both of the weekly camps. There will be no proration of fees for any days a child participant cannot attend.

Once you have registered you will be emailed a confirmation with a Waiver. This Waiver should be returned as soon as possible to catherine@slgardens.org or can be brought to the first day of camp.
